Determination of Ascorbic Acid in Vitamin C Tablets and Green Pepper,Cuke by Coulometric Titration

A coulometric titration method in a mixture electrolyte of 1.0 mol·L-1 KI+1.0 mol·L-1 HAc for the determination of ascorbic acid was established.The result showed that the average recovery of vitamin C was 98.3%~100.8%,with RSD of 0.21%~0.56%(n=3).The method has been used for the determination of ascorbic acid in Vitamin C tablets and the green peppers,cukes with satiafactory results.The advantages of this method are simple,rapid and accurate.
