Analysis on Kill Mechanism and Characteristics of High Energy Laser Weapon

HUANG Yong LIU Jie (Institute of Combat Systems, Naval Academy of Armament, Beijing 100073, China)  
From the basic concept, composition and operational process of high energy laser weapon, this paper analyses the distinction between high energy laser weapon and conventional weapon in the principle of operation, process and mechanism of target damage, and its main characteristics.
