Athermal Design for Infrared Hybrid Refractive/Diffractive Optical System

Thermal properties of diffractive optical element are studied. A method for design athermal hybrid infrared optical system is introduced A hybrid refractive-diffractive infrared optical system at 3. 7-4. 8μm with 100% cold shield efficiency, 4. 5 degrees of field of view is designed The image quality of the system approachs the diffraction limit in the working temperature range -30-70℃. This system is compatible with cooled staring array imager with the picture element size of 30μm.
