Influence of Pressures Upon Reaction Rate Constants of Intrinsic Reaction Kinetics of Methanol Synthesis

In this paper,the intrinsic kinetics of multiple reactions of methanol synthesis from hydrogenation of CO and CO_2 have been investigated experimentally at varied pressures over C301-1 cupric based catalyst,the experiments have been carried out at pressures from 3MPa to 7MPa and temperatures from 215 C to 245℃. The investigation is based on the L-H-H-W type intrinsic kinetic equation of multiple reactions which are expressed in fugacities. After treating the experimental data, the influence of the pressures upon the reaction rate constants has been inspected. The results indicate that the kinetic equations of multiple reactions are applicable in the range of experimental pressures and reaction rate constants are independent of pressures.
