Separation of L-Glutamine from Broth by Nanofiltration

The nanofiltration (NF) was applied in the separation and extraction of L-glutamine from the fermentation broth. The theoretical and experimental retention of L-glutamine and L-glutamic acid solution were studied in different pH value. The permeation behavior of L-glutamine and L-glutamic acid in broth were investigated under different pH value, pressure and concentration of L-glutamine. It is showed that the extraction yield of the whole process is estimated over 65% when the concentration of L-glutamine and pH are 1% and 7 in broth, respectively.
