Design of compact Offner spectral imaging system

ZHENG Yu-quan(State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics,Changchun Institute of Optics,Fine Mechanics and Physics,Chinese Academy of Science,Changchun 130033,China)  
A compact Offner spectral imaging system using dispersive elements in divergent beam was designed,and the advantages and disadvantages of the Offner spectral imaging system with convex grating and curved prism were analyzed.Compared with spectral imaging systems with grating or prism,Offner spectral imaging systems have characteristics of small volume,light weights,free spectral smile and little keystone.The design results of two kinds of spectral imaging systems,and method to filter secondary spectrum and high power spectrum were given.The results show that the system can satisfy the need of hyperspectral imager,and can be mounted on small or mini satellites.
