FEM study on mechanical behavior of weak connection of concrete shear wall with steel boundary element in hybrid coupled wall system

In order to study the mechanical behavior of the weak connection between concrete shear wall and steel edge member in the hybrid coupled wall system,a finite element model was established in ABAQUS.Considering and not considering the friction-sliding between the steel edge member and the concrete,simulation analyses were carried out using the model.By comparing the numerical results with the analytical ones,it indicates that the friction-sliding can not be ignored in the analysis of weak-connections.
