Breeding and application of high-quality new maize cultivar “Mixiangtiannuo265”

With the improvement of the people's living standard, the developing and maturing of new energy industry, the demand for maize is increasing day by day, and higher demand for yield, variety of maize and resistance are raised. Guangxi, as the most abundant and diverse area of waxy nauze germplasm resources in China, using local high quality material resources, crossbred with female parent SD125 and male parent SD292, a new super variety "Mixiang tiannuo 265"was bred. The growth period of"Mix-/hm2 in average yield of fresh fruit panicle, and 87. 2 in comprehensive score of quality traits. It was approved by Guangxi Crop Variety Examination Committee in May 2018, and reached the second grade of sensory, moderate resistance to rust and stem rot of fresh corn in national regional trial. In this paper, the breeding process, comprehensive characters, key points of cultivation techniques and key techniques of seed production were introduced in detail.
