SHI Yu-min, SONG Zhi-ping, MAO Chang-xiang, ZHOU Hang, XIE Liping, WEI Shan-fu (Rice Research Institute, Guangxi Academy of Agriculture Sciences, Nanning 530007)
The rice hybrids and their R and B lines introduced from IRRI were cultured for evaluation of agronomic and economic traits. The results showed most of them have moderate growth duration, ideal plant-types, strong tillering ability, more effective panicles per plant, slightness grain with good appearance but relative lower yield compared with CKs, some of the R lines expressed strong restored ability to the Chinese A lines, so they can be used as R lines or parental lines to develop new R lines.
