Feasibility of monitoring and estimating peach yield with hyper spectral remote sensing

Hyper spectral remote sensing technology has been widely used in forestry and agriculture.But the applica-tion of the technology in the economic fruit production monitoring and prediction has not been reported at home and abroad.The necessity and significance of using hyper spectral remote sensing technology to predict the yield of peach were analyzed to widen the applying way of remote sensing,and its feasibility was also discussed deeply in the paper.It thought that applying the spectral characteristics of canopy of fruit before maturing could predict the yield indexes of fruit,and the key was to study the correlation among the spectral reflectivity or its derivative indexes and the yield indexes of fruit,then the prediction model should be set up.
