Extraction and Applications of Remote Sensing Background Information in Guangxi

Basing 1988,1998,2002 and 2008 four time phase of the Landsat5-7 TM/ETM,com-bined with 1: 5 million base GIS data and field survey information,using spectral analysis and texture synthesis,the best wave band combination was selected to establish knowledge of remote sensing(RS) image interpretation signs of forest,agricultural land,shrub and grass,towns,roads,water.Using de-cision tree and maximum likelihood extraction methods and soil erosion intensity classification index,basing land use types,vegetation cover,slope and other construction information data,soil erosion classification model was constructed.At last,using the enhanced ratio vegetation indices to establish rocky index model,Guangxi nearly 20 years of forest,shrub grassland,agricultural land,water,towns,roads,soil erosion and desertification background information on eight categories of RS data Background Information in Guangxi were obtained.
