Studies on Ecological Adaptability of Two-line Hybrid Rice "Liang-you-pei-jiu" in Nanning

Two-line hybrid rice,"Liang-you-pei-jiu"was planted in a large area in South China in recent years.This paper discussed the ecological adaptability of "Liang-you-pei-jiu"as double-croping rice in Nanning in order to study its adaptability in Guangxi and even the South China.The results showed that the whole growth period of Liang-you-pei-jiu was too long.It displayed hypotrophy for obvious insufficiency of growing season in the pattern of double-cropping rice.It appeared presenility as late rice for easily influenced by bad weather.So it was not suitable to plant as double-cropping rice,but was suitable as early rice with strong tillering ability,big panicle with more grains,high seed setting rate,lodging resistance,retaining higher leaf area index in later growth period and higher yield potential.It is recomended that"Liang-you-pei-jiu"should be planted as double-cropping early rice,and should be sowed earlier than other varieties to avoid affecting the cultivation of the late rice.
