Exploration to the Urbanization Development Patterns in Guangxi Border Areas

YANG Nai-yu(Institute of Industrial Economy and Talent Development Strategy,College of History Culture and Tourism,Guangxi Normal University,Guilin 541004,China)
Located at China's southern border,Guangxi border areas are inhabited by ethnic minorities. The areas have been restricted by wars in history for a long time. The government invested less in the infrastructure of those areas. In addition, because of the poor geographical conditions, the urbanization development is lagging behind.Based on an investigation of the process of the urbanization development in Guangxi border areas,we must explore the relationship between the urbanization development patterns and the resources in border areas, adjust measures to local conditions relying on ports and natural resources, and develop towns with Guangxi border features according to the characteristics of karst mountain regions and border ports to lead the road of urbanization with Chinese characteristics toward healthy and orderly development.
