Mei Symmetry and Inverse Problem in Dynamics of a Birkhoffian System

The Mei symmetries and inverse problems in dynamics of a Birkhoffian system are studied.First,the determining equation and structure equation of Mei symmetry and the Mei conserved quantity which is led by the Mei symmetry are given;next,two formulations and their corresponding solutions of the inverse problem for Mei symmetry of the Birkhoffian system are established,and two examples are given to illustrate the application of the results.
