EFFECT OF SINTERING TEMPERATURE ON PETROGRAPHY OF COMPOSITE-MINERALIZED CLINKER AND SOLID-SOLUBILITY OF ALITE

Simulating the increasing rate of temperature of raw meal nodules in shaft kiln, raw meal with composite mineralizer (F~-=1.0%, SO_=1.35%) was burnt in laboratory electric furnace, and the clinker produced was studied by EDXA, XRD, OM and chemical phase analysis. The results indicate that when the sintering temperature increases from 1350℃ to 1425℃, the petrographic structure of clinker changes from glomeroblastie to monadoblastic, the size of alite increses accordingly, and the amount of solidsolution of alite increases correspondingly. The main peaks of XRD of alite have the tendency of shifting at lower angles. The condition of solid-solution of alite burnt under different temperatures and its effects on cement properties are discussed, and it is considered that quality of clinker sintered normally under high temperature in the presence of composite mineralizer will be superior.
