ANISOTROPIC ELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF SrBi_2Nb_2O_9 TEXTURED CERAMIC

The templated grain growth and tape-casting technique were employed to fabricate textured SrBi2Nb2O9 ceramics by using plate SrBi2Nb2O9 crystal prepared by the molten salt synthesis as template particle and SrBi2Nb2O9 powders synthesized by a solid state reaction method as basic powders.The dielectric,piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties of textured SrBi2Nb2O9 ceramics between the a-b plane and c direction were studied.The results reveal that the electric properties between the a-b plane and c direc-tion show obvious anisotropy.The electric properties along the a-b plane shows that the dielectric constant(εT33/ε0) is 186,the dielec-tric loss(tan δ) is only 0.003,the piezoelectric constant(d33) is 13 pC/N,the remanent polarization(Pr) is 10.3 μC/cm2,and the coer-cive field(Ec) is 4.6 kV/mm,which are superior to those along the c direction.
