THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS ON MgMnZn-FERRITE PRECURSOR PREPARED BY THE CHEMICAL CO-PRECIPITATION PROCESS

The thermodynamic analysis on system of Me2+–CO32––NH3–H2O (Me2+ refers to Fe2+,Mg2+,Zn2+ and Mn2+) was carried out. As a result,relationship between pH value and total concentration of various Me2+ was obtained,and logarithm concentration–pH value diagrams of the system were also established at different concentrations of Ct and Nt. The results show that it is helpful to precipitate various Me2+ with the increase of concentration of Ct in the system at a certain concentration of Nt. The residual con-centrations of the Me2+ will be over high while the concentration of Nt is too high at a certain concentration of Ct. Additionally,the optimum area of Fe2+,Mg2+,Mn2+,and Zn2+ co-precipitation is that the concentrations of Ct is 1.0 mol/L and the concentrations of Nt is 0.2 mol/L at a pH value of 8–9. The residual total concentrations of various metal ions reach the lowest value at pH = 8.65,which are lower than 10–5 mol/L.
