STATE-OF-ART AND DEVELOPMENT TREND IN THE STUDY OF BITTERN-RESISTING CONCRETE

Yu Hongfa (Department of Materials Science and Engineering ,Shenyang Architectural and Civil Engingeering Institute)  
Chemical corrosion mechanism of concrete in Qinghai salt lake is briefly reviewed, and bittern resisting behavior of high alumina cement concrete, magnesium oxychloride cement concrete, alkali-activated slag concrete, ferrialuminate cement concrete and polymer impregnated concrete are also reported in the paper. Discussion on mechanism of bittern resistance of high density cement concrete containing silica fume are presented in detail. The effective approach to achieve high bittern resistance by means of modified pore structure is given. In addition, some themes in the research are also explored.
