The antioxidative action of anisodamine on H2O2 and the generating system of freeradicals(FeCl2 and ascorbic acid)in the erythrocyte was studied.Anitalamine could prevent thehernolysis induced by H2O2 in vitro.The lipid peroxidation caused by the generating system offree radicals was inhibited by anisedamine,and the fiuidity of the erythrocyte membrane was in-creased.The results suggest that the antioxidative action of anisedamine is at the membrane levelcounteracting the membrane lipid peroxidation caused by the free radicls,and thereby,protectsthemembrane.
