Design of infrared hybrid athermal optical system

The athermalism of diffractive optical elements in infrared hybrid refractive/diffractive optical systems is analyzed. Based on the special athermal properties and achromatic characteristics of the diffractive elements,an infrared hybrid optical system at 3μm~5μm waveband and the temperature range of-45℃~60℃ is designed in this paper.By many tests,we have attested that with 80% energy the spot′s diameter of the Line Spread Function(LSF) is 33μm and approximates the size of one pixel,also it is proved that the optical system can work steadily with high optical quality in the required temperature range.
