Determination of Geniposide in Dispensing Granules of Carbonized Fructus Gardeniae by HPLC

Objective: To establish a method of determining the contents of geniposide in dispensing granules of carbonized fructus gardeniae. Methods:HPLC was performed on Welch AQ-C 18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm) with acetonitrile-water (15∶85)as mobile phase,detection wavelength of 238 nm and flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. Results: There was a good linear relationship (r=1.0000,n=5)between injection volume and peak area at the range of geniposide 0.1021～1.6340 μg,and the average recovery was 96.54%,RSD was 1.14%(n=6). Conclusion:This method is simple,rapid,stable,accurate and repeatable,so it can be used for quality control of dispensing granules of carbonized fructus gardeniae.
