Comparison of Forecast Coagulation Dosage Between Linear Regression and BPNN in Water Treatment

BP neural network(BPNN)and linear regression model are two different dosage prediction coagulation methods in the coagulant dosing feedforward control.This article has established coagulant dosage feedforward control models by using the two kinds of methods,which has also been simulated and compared based on the same sample data.The results show:through the study of BP model of three-tier structure the effective dosage forecast can be conducted according to the raw water quality,superior to the linear regression model,and it is also self-adaptive and practical,but there still exist some limitations,some differences in dosage forecast for some water quality.
