Researches in reaction behaviors of coked FCC catalysts

In several newly-developed technologies, such as MGD, MIP by Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) and RxCat by UOP, coke formation was regarded as a way to modify the catalytic properties of FCC catalysts. Latest researches in physicochemical and reaction properties of coked FCC catalysts, mechanism for coke deposition and structure of the coke formed were reviewed, especially latest achievements of RIPP in this field.
