Selective catalytic reduction of NO by methane over Co/H-ZSM-5 in the presence of oxygen

Co/H-ZSM-5 catalysts with different Si/Al and Co loadings were prepared by ion exchange and their catalytic properties studied.Effects of Si/Al ratio,cobalt loadings,space velocity,O_2 concentration and acidic sites were investigated.The samples were characterized by XRD,BET,H_2-TPR and DRS-UV-vis techniques.The results showed that activity of the catalysts increased with cobalt loadings but declined with Si/Al;NO conversion decreased with GHSV;Co~(2+) acted as the active centers for selective reduction of NO by methane and H~+ as the protonic sites;presence of acidic sites promoted the catalytic activity.
