Study of hydrocracking of n-octane on Ni-Mo/Y-β catalyst

The bifunctional Ni-Mo catalyst supported on bimicroporous Y-β zeolite was prepared.The surface area,pore volume,total acid amount,and crystallinity of Y-β zeolite after impregnation decreased.And the performance of hydrocracking of n-octane on this catalyst was studied in a stainless steel fixed bed tubular reactor.At temperature of 230 ℃,LHSV of 1.5 h-1,hydrogen/n-octane volume ratio of 1000∶1 and pressure of 3.0 MPa,the conversion,hydrocracking rate and selectivity to i-butane were 83.9%,82.28% and 37.49%,respectively,which were 5.7,8.4 and 6.5 times,respectively,as over monofunctional HY-β catalyst under the same conditions.
