EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND MECHANISM ANALYSIS OF RC BEAM-COLUMN JOINTS SHEAR PERFORMANCE STRENGTHENED AROUND CORE BY CFRP SHEETS

Cores of RC beam-column joints in two-way frames can′t be directly upgraded as that in one-way frames because of the existence of two-way beams. In this paper, five full-scale beam-column joints are tested under quasi-static cycle load, to evaluate the shear performance improvement of beam-column joints upgraded by two different CFRP sheets strengthening methods that are around core, and the strengthening mechanism is also presented for different methods.
