EXPERIMENTAL RULES OF SLAKING FOR K_0 COMPRESSED CLAY AND ITS DESCRIPTION

In this paper,from results of K_0 compression tests and slaking tests on both dry clay and saturated clay in Olympic Park,some conclusions are obtained:in e-lgp paragraph,when the normal compressed dry clay is wetted under different stresses,the void ratios all reach compression line of saturated clay;while different over compressed dry clay in the same pre-consolidation pressure is wetted,the void ratios also reach one line approximately.Concluding from the results of slaking tests,a mathematical description is worked out to describe wetting deformations under K_0 compression.Using this mathematic description,a prediction for wetting deformations is given out and it agree well with the tests results.
