STUDY ON THE SEISMIC RESPONSE OF THE PRE-HEATER TOWER STRUCTURE FOR A CEMENT PLANT

The frame structure of pre-heater is one important industrial building in the NSP cement production lines.It was investigated that the nonlinear responses of one certain pre-heater frame structure under variable earthquake intensity motions with elasto-plastic time-history analysis and also studied the inherent law.The analysis revealed the yield mechanism and the failure mode of the structure.It was also discussed the importance of brace member for the structure,and obtained some valuable conclusions for the aseismic design of pre-heater frame structure.
