SUN Yan;RAO Huiping;LI Xinrong;LIU Jun;Department of Internal Medicine,Nanlang Hospital of Zhongshan City,Guangdong Province;
Objective To investigate the role of nuclear factor-κB in newly diagnosed obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Fifty patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes were hospitalized from internal medicine(non-obese group 22,obese group 28).The expression of NF-κB p65mRNA was detected by peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs),and β-actin was used as internal reference. Results The serum levels of hsCRP in newly diagnosed obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were higher than non-obese group(P 0.01).The expression of NF-κB p65mRNA in newly diagnosed obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is significantly higher than that of non-obese group(P 0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that NF-κB, hsCRP and TG were positively correlated with obesity(P 0.05),and HbA1C was negatively correlated with obesity(P 0.05). Conclusion The expression of NF-κB in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus High, suggesting that may be involved in type 2 diabetes obesity in patients with inflammation.
