THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SURFACE AND ATMOSPHERIC HEATING FIELDS OVER THE QINGHAI-XIZANG PLATEAU IN SUMMER OF 1983

This paper computes and analyses the surface and atmospheric heating fields over the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau in summer by using the observational data of the solar radiation obtained from August 1982 to July 1983. The results are as follows.In summer, the main part of the plateau acts as a strong heat source, the center of heating field is over the south-eastern of the plateau, there is a center of the surface heating at Ngingchi and at Garze, respectively, and the maximum intensity of the surface heating fields appears in June and in July,From April to September, the main fart of the plateau acts as a heat source for the atmospheric heating pields,the centers of the heat source are over the eastern and central part of the plateau, and the maximum intensity of the atmospheric heating fields appears in July. In the total of the atmospheric heating, main term is the latent heat of condensation from the precipitation over the eastern part of the plateau and is the surface effective radiation over the central, western and southern part of the plateau.
