FLOODS AND DROUGHTS IN NORTHERN CHINA AND GENERAL CIRCULATION ANOMALIES OVER MIDDLE AND HIGH LATITUDES

ZHAO Sheng rong SONG Zheng shan (Institute of Atmospheric Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100029)  
Two kinds of general circulation anomalies over middle high latitude Eurasia related with floods and droughts in North China were identified through the way of strange vector decomposition. Monthly geopotential height data of NCEP/NCAR and monthly precipitation of Chinese stations were used in this paper.
