Solvothermal Synthesis of ZnO Nanorods

WANG Yun,LIN Shen,SONG Xu-chun(Department of Chemistry,Fujian Normal University,Fuzhou 350007,China)  
ZnO nanorods were fabricated by the solvothermal method using PEG as assistant.The properties of products were characterized by SEM,XRD and EDS.The results showed that ZnO nanorods were uniform size with 20 nm in diameter and 150 nm in length.The concentration of PEG was supposed to play an important role in the formation of ZnO nanorods. The mechanism of PEG accelerating ZnO nanorods'formation was preliminarily discussed.
