Targeted Poverty Alleviation in Ethnic Minority Areas from the Perspective of National Identity

WU Yu-jun;HE Xie;School of Philosophy,Beijing Normal Universit;
Poverty alleviation policy is not only related to the protection and realization of the rights of people of all ethnic groups, but also to the construction of national identity and the long-term stability of the country. Taking ethnic groups as an important object of support can effectively narrow the development gap among ethnic groups through differential support policies, but if this policy is not in place, it will also strengthen the sense of national identity to some extent, which is not conducive to promoting the construction of national identity at a higher level. From the perspective of national identity,targeted poverty alleviation needs to be based on equal citizenship, focusing on individual living conditions, ensuring the realization of everyone's basic rights, such as the right to subsistence and development. On this basis, the policy of supporting ethnic minorities should be made, so as to enhance the national identity of each citizen.
