Reflection on Double Aspect of Social History——Centered on Fragmentation Problem of Social History

CHI Zhi-hua1,GUO Jin-ping2(1.2.School of Social Sciences,Soochow University,Suzhou 215123,China)
The booming development of social history in the new period benefits from its openness and interdisciplinary research characteristics, however, which in turn intensifies the fragmentation phenomenon of social history to some extent.Fragments research of social history is not equal to the fragmentation,so it is very necessary to make a strict distinction between the two.Fragmentation does not always result from microscopic orientation and interdisciplinary research, but due to the research orientation and purport of the researchers to a great extent. In a sense, openness and fragmentation may be seen as double aspect of Social history.Breaking subject boundaries is still an irresistible trend of the development of social history, while the fragmentation tendency of social history mainly relies on subjective efforts of researchers to overcome.
