From “Leisurely and Carefree Mood” to “Aspirations”——Leisure Narratives in Contemporary Chinese Novels

Leisure is the human innate nature,the indispensable spiritual needs of an individual and also a kind of humane spirit derived from the process of human society. Literature is the powerful embodiment of leisure and leisure culture. By reading the contemporary literary works,people can feel the leisurely and carefree mood,which include the leisure of satisfying with the status quo,the leisure of creating leisurely mood and the leisure of building inner tranquility. From these leisure moods,the aspirations and interests such as persisting in being oneself,highlighting the charm of harmony and pursuing the pure life can be realized.
