Ultramicro Smash of Pearl by Hyper High Pressure Impinging Streams

The pearl is smashed repeatedly by the hyper high pressure impinging streams(300 MPa) and the microscopic morphology of the pearl powder is observed.Cumulative volume size distribution,surface area-volume ratio and average particle size of the pearl powder are detected,and the ultra-fine powder is compared with the commercial pearl powder.Result showed that,with the increase of smash times,the number of D50,D90 and the average particle size decrease and the surface area-volume ratio increases.The average particle size is 0.712 μm and the surface area-volume ratio is 13.550 m2/cm3 after being smashed 10 times repeatedly,and the ultra-fine powder is better than the commercial pearl powder.
