THE APPLICATION OF EDGE-ENHANCE ALGORITHM AND WAVELET ANALYSISIN AUTO-FOCUS

Itis always theemphasisof research abouthow to realize auto-focus quickly and effectively in imaging system.Thispaperputforward algorithms thatcan enhanceedge features in imagesforim- proving auto-focus capability and compares the usual edge-enhance filters with wavelet-based filters. Experimental data shows that although both the usual edge-enhance filters and wavelet-based filters improve the focus capability the lattercan detectslightly defocused images more effectively.Therefor they have a good future in application.
