Temperature Characteristics Analysis of Double-end-pumped Heat-capacity Laser

Based on analyzing working characteristics of laser diode array double-end-pumped heat-capacity laser crystal,the laser crystal thermal model and the boundary condition are built.The factors which affect the laser crystal′s temperature field distribution,such as the pumping facula diameter,the pumping duration, the pumping light intensity and the crystal end-face size,are simulated and analyzed by Finite Element Method.The temperature characteristics of the laser crystal working in heat capacity mode are obtained.The results show that with the increases of the pumping facula diameter,the temperature difference between the center and the edge of crystal end-face will increase and then decrease and it will get a maximum.With the different pumping light intensity,the pumping faculae diameters having the biggest temperature difference are the same.The conclusions of this research are advantageous to reasonably choose various factors,and provide references for designing heat capacity laser and solving the laser induced thermal lens effects.
