Right View Image Evaluation Method for Stereoscopic Image Pair Based Similarity Measure

A new image assessment metric for stereoscopic views is proposed.The similarity measure based on fuzzy metric is used to reflect the similarity degree between two images.The disparity relationship between the left and the right viewpoints in stereoscopic video images can be applied for assessment.At the decoder,the reconstructed left view is used as a reference to assess the quality of the right view in stereoscopic image pair using the proposed method.Experimental results show that the metric can reflect the quality level of the right view in stereoscopic video.
