Strain of a Lightweight Elliptical Mirror with Steel Strip Support

The stress of the lightweight elliptical mirror with the steel strip support was studied by finite element method.The mirror deformation was analyzed by the MSC.Nastran finite element software.The stress distribution curve of the elliptical mirror was given with Excel.The curve shows that the stress is the largest at the lowest support point and decreases as the support position rising.Then the node deformation of the mirror surface was processed.The deformation root-mean-square(RMS) is 11.7nm.It shows that the deformation accuracy requirement can be satisfied.
