An Athermal Design of Infrared Hybrid Diffractive/Refractive Optical System in 3.7~4.8 μm

The athermalism of diffractive optical element in infrared hybrid diffractive/ refractive optical system is analyzed.An athermal infrared optical system with 3.7~4.8 μm spectral region,6.44 degrees of field of view is presented,,and the infrared system satisfies 100% cold shield efficiency.Germanium and silicon are used in the system.The image quality of the system approaches the diffraction limit in the working temperature range-50 ℃~100 ℃.The optical system has simple structure,small volume and light weight.It is compatible with staring focal plane array which has a format of 320×240 and the pixel pitch of 30 μm.
