THE COMPRESSION EFFECT OF PICOSECOND SOLITONS IN FIBERS WITH SLOWLY DECREASING DISPERSION

The compression results of femtosecond soliton Dulses in fibers with slowlydecreasing dispersion have been reported.In this paper,we have obtained the noulinearSchrodinger equation(NLS)including gain effect from quasi-NLS which describes thebehavior of picosecond soliton pulses in fibers with slowly deceasing dispersion. Thepropagation properties of soliton pulses have been analyzed and discussed.Numericalsnnulation showS that the higher compression ratio pulses can be obtained by use ofFSDD and the fiber length is mu ch reduced.
