Chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics and canopy architecture of virus-free s ugarcane

Virus-free healthy seed cane and normal seed cane of chewing cane variety Badila were planted in the field to test their production ability. The results were as follows: The incidence of sugarcane mosaic virus disease was zero in virus-fre e healthy seed cane treatment. The Yield, F_v/F_m and F_v/F_ o of PS II in virus-free healthy seed cane treatment were all lower than those in normal seed cane treatment, but the differences were little. The mean leaf angle, penetration coefficient, radiation penetration coefficient, extinction co efficient and leaf distribution of the colony canopy in virus-free healthy seed cane treatment at the elongating stage all showed better than those in normal s eed cane treatment, which formed more reasonable canopy architecture of chewing cane colony.
