Metabolism of Streptomyces avermitilis Strain N-5-6 Carried by Spaceship

The fermentation process in 30 L fermentor of Streptomyces avermitilis strain N-5-6 after spaceflight was studied.The characteristics of fermentation were analyzed through the changes of pH,dissolved oxygen,residual nitrogen,residual sugar,yield and hyphal morphology.The optimal harvesting time is in around 184 h.The results laid the foundation for further study for optimizing conditions and fermentation controlling.
