Review on Monitoring Methods of SOC in the Vanadium Redox Flow Battery

As a new energy storage system,the vanadium redox flow battery( VRB) is widely used by more and more people because of its high power,long life,high reliability,support of frequent high-current discharge and other advantages. The state of charge( SOC) is the important parameter to evaluate the battery capacity and the battery performance. How to monitor the state of charge of VRB attracted people's attention. Several monitoring methods of SOC in the vanadium redox flow battery was reviewed in this paper,which would give some helpful proposals to the research and application of VRB in the future.
