Monodisperse submicroscopic HZSM-5 zeolite:preparation and application in cyclohexene hydration

A submicroscopic HZSM-5 zeolite was prepared by dynamic hydrothermal synthesis method with aluminum nitrate(AlNO),tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS),and tetrapropyl ammonium hydroxide(TPAOH) as raw materials.X-ray diffraction(XRD) characterization results showed that the crystallinity of HZSM-5 was high.The influence of crystallization temperature,pH regulators and surfactants on morphology and particle size of HZSM-5 is represented by scanning electronic microscopy(SEM) characterization:HZSM-5 with more regular morphology and smaller particle size can be prepared by varying-temperature synthesis method.The pH regulators have little influence on morphology and particle size of HZMS-5.Surfactants can constrain the crystallization of HZSM-5.The monodisperse HZSM-5 shaped like cakes is synthesized with suitable surfactants as additives.The average particle size is 0.3 μem.The particles will grow up to 3.5 μem with the crystallization time prolonged.The monodisperse HZSM-5 shaped like cakes in small particle size has shown excellent catalytic activity on cyclohexene hydration.
