Optimization design of the agitating lorry front support

Agitating lorry is a transportation ideal tool for commercial concrete. For transportation safety, agitating lorry design often has two defects: the quality is larger and overall stiffness is too big. Hence, the manufacturing costs and the use cost are increased. In order to solve the problem, first of all, 3D model of front support is set up and finite element analysis and topology optimization design are accomplished in the condition of the bending, bending and twisting, brakes,turning. Then, according to the topology optimization results, front support is redesigned, finite element is analysed and the size optimization is researched. The result shows that with meeting the requirements of the stiffness and strength as a premise, the front support quality were reduced by 18%. The foundation for reducing the production cost and use cost was thus laid.
