Structure Optimization Analysis for Joint Cross of Universal Coupling Based on FEM Analysis

ZHANG Xiang-yang,ZHANG Xian,LI You-rong(College of Mechano-automation,Wuhan Univ.of Sci.and Technology,Wuhan 430081,China)  
Aimed at the minimum maximum principal stress,based on three dimensional finite element analysis,with the help of FEM software(ANSYS),an optimization method is used to design the main parameters of the joint cross of universal coupling.The results show that the main parameters can be determined by using the model and method in this paper,and the strength influenced by each dimension can be obtained.
