Preliminary Observation on the Feeding Habits and Reproduction of Triakis scyllium

1.The koro is a small-sized benthon In the Huamghai and Bohai Seas.It is an omnivorous fish which takes the swimming organiams as its main food.It preys on Scombermorus niphonius, Harengula zunasi,Setipinna taty,Enchelyopus elongatus,Octopus variabilis,Loligo Japonica,Penaeus sp., Trachypenaeus curvirostris,Squilla sp.polychaetes and crabs. 2.The koro is ovoviviparous.After sexual maturity Internal fertilization occurs in July and August.The clasper of the male grow srapidly when its sexual gland becomes mature.The repro- ductive period is between May and June,and the developmmtal phasa of the embryo in the moth- er's boby is 9 to 10 months.A female can bear 42 foetuses at most.The females and males are in the ratio of one to one.
