Extraction of Female Adult Sex Pheromone Gland From Heortia vitessoides Moore Using Different Isolation Methods and Identification of Its Compounds by GC-MS

Heortia vitessoides Moore is the most serious pest of Aquilaria sinensis.The research adopted the adsorption method,solvent extraction and glands direct sampling method to obtain the extract from female adult sex pheromone gland.The chemical compositions of the extract were analyzed by GC-MS.The results showed that adsorption method had 87 peak and found two compounds might be the sex pheromone,respectively Z8-12:OH and E8,E10-12:OH;the solvent extractionmethod had 163 peak and found two compounds might be the sex pheromone,respectively Z8-12:OH and Z7-12:Ac,but none compound have been found in glands direct sampling method.We compared the difference between different methods.In addition,this study lays a foundation for the insect sex pheromone of Heortia vitessoides Moore.
